We had a lovely stay at this beautifully designed b&b on the Suffolk coast. Set in 5 acres of garden, that has being thoughtfully landscaped by the hosts, it is the perfect place to relax for a few days. Plus it has some dog friendly rooms and the breakfast was delicious!
Our stay was so relaxing and peaceful. Our room (room 5) was huge, light and airy, with a fantasic wet room and a bath in which you can soak while gazing out to the countryside - which is beautiful even in January. Bruce and David host brilliantly and we really enjoyed breakfasting in the adjoining old barn which serves as communal space for guests. Absolutely recommended as a restorative getaway for those who appreciate a thoughtfully designed space close to beaches and nature. We look forward to coming back again in warmer times to see the garden in its summer incarnation. Thank you David and Bruce.
What an amazing place! We absolutely loved it. Every detail was perfect. David and Bruce were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. An incredible space - so much work, love and care has gone into creating it. Its a truly stunning place and yet so comfortable at the same time. Add to this the home made cake on arrival, the eggs benedict at breakfast, the fire, the bath, the music. I could go on and on and on!
Beautiful place to stay in Suffolk. The owners are great hosts and provide a very warm welcome. The barn is architecturally very unique, and the rooms are relatively simple but bright, airy and very comfortable. Breakfast is cooked to order and the owners are of course on hand to lend some advice about how to spend your day.
We are just back from a fabulous long weekend at Five Acre Barn. We "Rented the Barn" and had a wonderful fun filled weekend with family and friends. Five Acre Barn is a beautiful place with spectacular architecture, fabulously comfortable rooms, and spacious common areas. We loved the super cool decor - modern and simple, with incredible attention to detail at every corner. There are paintings and ceramics from local artists throughout out the space. The hosts, Bruce and David, are super welcoming, friendly and laid back. They also make a delicious breakfast every morning - the choices are boundless with everything from fresh made waffles to full English breakfast, all cooked to order. We used the kitchen to cook meals in the evening and enjoyed the common areas to hang out in the evenings.
