Top notch pub and restaurant. Great for a pint after a walk on the beach.

A lovely cosy pub . Very friendly barman who took our order for lunch. The Madras curry was loved by one ; two of us had the lamb shank which just fell off the bone as it should and tasted great. Nice to have a table near the fire which warmed us up beautifully as we'd just had a long, satisfying walk but on a very dull, dank day.
Very nice venue in beautiful village. The staff was welcoming and polite and the bacon and brie sandwiches delicious. The beer was very refreshing and our dog was allowed in. What more can you ask for?!
Really nice staff and well cooked food. Could have cut the steak with a spoon and the sauce with the pork was to die for. Only in Thorpeness for 2 days but after the service received when here for just a drink, we ensured we returned for dinner.
